Carbon-sitall and its radiation resistance

Description

Data on structure and properties of carbon sitall industrial samples and its modifications, as well as on its behaviour under impact of neutron radiation, electron and ion fluxes of a number of elements are presented. It is shown that carbon sitall obtained by pyrolysis of hydrocarbon with catalyzer B consists of dispersed carbonic particles of nongraphatized carbon, linked into monolite though carbon, and fine-dispersed boron carbide particles uniformly dispersed through the material volume. The USB-15 samples swell by the low-temperature irradiations (up to 400-450 K) and get settled at higher temperatures.33 refs., 13 figs., 14 tabs
