Diffuse scattering in metals with BCC lattice and crystallogeometry of martensitic phase transitions BCC-FCC and BCC-HEP

Description

A theory of cooperative part of thermal motion of atoms in a metal with bcc lattice is developed and it is shown that only (110) planes can be extended objects. Solution of a geometrical problem of oscillation freezing of a family of such planes provides fcc and hcp phases in a shift and a compensation models, respectively. The lattice orientation ratios are determined. For the initial bcc phase X-ray and electron diffuse scattering patterns are estimated
