Study of additions solubility in the CdTl2Te4 compound by the method of microhardness
Description
The microhardness of the CdTlTe4 compound individually alloyed by Au, Ag, and Cu was investigated in order to study the solubility of Au, Ag, Cu in CdTl2Te4 compound. The increase of the amount of impurities has been shown to increase the microhardness of the CdTl2Te4 compound by 4 to 5 kg/mm2, this feature being probably caused by the distortion of crystal lattice in dissolution of these impurities. The values of Au, Ag and Cu solubilities have been determined from the microhardness-alloy composition isotherms, which amounted to 0.82, 0.79 and 0.80 wt.%, respectively, at 650 deg C
