Microprocessor control of a superconducting magnet for adiabatic demagnetization

Description
We present a microprocessor-based magnet control system used in our laboratory to generate the complicated sequences of magnetic field ramps required to operate a nuclear demagnetization cryostat. Considerations of high reliability, complete isolation, and overall simplicity have led to this stand-alone design
