Thermodynamic analysis of carbon-niobium interaction during arc welding
Description
Thermodynamic analysis of niobium carburization from gaseous and solid phases during welding is carried out. It is established that carburization proceeds in two stages: a) carbon black formation near the metal surface, b) carbon dissolution in metal with formation of Nb-C solid solution and niobium carbides
