The sign of the quadrupole interaction of the 828 keV state of 115In in Zn

Description
Sign and magnitude of the electric quadrupole interaction of the 828 keV state of 115In in a Zn single crystal were determined by a β-γ TDPAC measurement. The result for the quadrupole frequency - 193(13) MHz - confirms the universal correlation between the electronic and ionic contributions to the total electric field gradient proposed by R.S. Raghavan et al. (orig.)

Vorzeichen und Groesse der elektrischen Quadrupolwechselwirkung des 828 keV Zustands von 115In in einem Zn-Einkristall wurden durch eine β-γ TDPAC-Messung bestimmt. Das Ergebnis fuer die Quadrupolfrequenz - 193(13) MHz - bestaetigt die von R.S. Raghavan et al. behauptete universelle Korrelation zwischen den Elektronen- und Ionenbeitraegen zum totalen elektrischen Feldgradienten. (orig.)Additional details
