Numerical analysis of combined explosion-current plasma compression
Creators
Description
A numerical solution is given to the problem of D-T compression in the cylindrical system by combined action of profiled explosion and current surge. The analysis is performed on the basis of magneto-hydrodynamic formulation for a finite electric conductance dependent non-linearly upon temperature. It is demonstrated that it is possible, in this way, to achieve, in a cylindrical system, locally critical parameters of thermonuclear fusion. (author)
