The vapor composition over the solid phase of scandium triiodide
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (Russian Federation). Inst. Vysokikh Temperatur
Description
The linerature data on the vapor composition over the solid phase of scandium triiodide in the temperature range 785-885 K are critically analysed. It is shown, that the vapor composition significantly depends on the very low impurity quantities in sample (first of all of iodine) and on the sample structure. On the base of the linerature data on weight losses and our data on vapor composition by 1050 K the temperature dependences of dimer dissociation degree are determined. The formation and sublimation enthalpy and entropy of scandium triiodide monomer and dimer were calculated. 9 refs.; 3 tabs
