Replacement collision probabilities for energetic incident ions
Description
Calculations are presented of P(E), the exact integral equation which governs the replacement probability as a function of incident ion energy in an elastic interaction with a target atom. The calculations are numerical solutions as a function of ion energy and mass, and are obtained using the Thomas-Fermi elastic scattering cross section. (GHT)
