Description
A new 3-D object recognition technique is proposed, using Compton Tomography, which permits to obtain 3-D data regarding the internal structure of the analysed objects. A special Compton Tomography technique is first presented, outlining the main performance characteristics. Multidimensional digital processing techniques are hence described for noise reduction, enhancement, edge detection and 3-D reconstruction of the objects. (Auth.)
