The effect of the electromagnetically induced transparency in high-temperature magnetoactive plasmas

  • 1. Institute of Applied Physics Russian Academy of Sciences, 603600, Nizhny Novgorod (Russian Federation)

Description

The well known in quantum electronics effect of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is investigated for the electron-cyclotron waves in warm plasma. The expression for the effective refraction index of electromagnetic wave is obtained and the dispersive law and dissipation of this wave are investigated in the conditions of EIT. It was shown, that the thermal motion drastically changes the behavior of dispersive curves of the probe wave in the EIT regime in comparison with the cold plasma. (authors)
