SVEA-96: BWR fuel for the 1990s

  • 1. ASEA-ATOM AB, Vaesteraas (Sweden)

Description

The key parameter for improved fuel cycle costs during the 1990s is higher burn-up. Current fuel development addresses above all this desire for extended burn-up. Other areas that will receive more attention are MOX as fissile material and stability issues. The new SVEA-96 fuel from ABB Atom has been developed to fulfil these requirements. 4 figs., 1 tab
