Operating experience with dynamic compensation algorithm for vanadium self-powered neutron detectors

  • 1. Electronics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

A new algorithm was developed to speed-up the response time of slow-responding vanadium self-powered neutron detectors. The algorithm was based on the principles of direct inversion and an on-line nonlinear filtering. The algorithm was tested at different research and power reactors. This paper presents and discusses the experimental results obtained at different types of nuclear reactors. (author)
