Synthesis, structure and properties of borosilicate glasses and glass-crystalline materials based on the ash of organic wastes

Description

Glass formation in Na2O-B2O3-ash waste oxides system is investigated to develop compsition of glasses and glass-crystalline materials based on organic waste ash. The obtained materials were of microheterogeneous structure and, as a rule, contained crystal phases of Ca3(PO4)2-Ca2SiO4 system solid solutions. Optimal compositions of glasses and glass-crystalline materials with high chemical stability occur within mass.%:50-75 oxides of ash waste limits, 10-20 Na2O, 10-25 B2O3. Presence of insoluble particles of calcium phoshate or its solid solution with calcium silicate does not spoil chemical stability
