Integrity endangering processes are mining induced effects (excavation-damaged zone), gas formation and gas in place, heat input, erosion processes, neotectonic activity, seismic activity (earthquakes), volcanism, glacial effects, geochemical milieu, advective groundwater flow, microbial processes and karst formation.
