Description
Analysis of materials, devoted to interstitial radiation therapy is given. It was concluded that interstitial radiation therapy represents the radical method and is considered to be one of the best radiotherapy techniques for malignant tumor treatment. The obtained direct and the nearest results of interstitial neutron therapy by 252Cf sources indicate its clinical advantages. It is shown that radionuclides With different half-life periods, the type and energy of radiation can be used in radiation therapy. It is necessary to study the remote after-effects and local radiation injUries after interstitial therapy by different radioactive preparations
