Computer simulation of ions in mass spectrometers - not just pretty pictures
Description
This article aimed to show some of the uses of computer simulations and 3D representations in mass spectroscopy. It is also intended to show that the graphs produced are not just pretty pictures but give an insight into what is going on inside the mass spectrometer and as such can be a valuable aid to designing, building and running mass spectrometers. 5 refs., 9 figs
