Mass transfer in DQ Herculis

Description

New observations of the 279/sup m/ binary period and 71/sup s/ sinusoidal period are presented. From these and other data we derive an upper and lower bound and an estimate for the mass transfer rate. Luminosity of the system based on the value of the mass transfer rate is discussed
