New techniques in uranium search
Description
In this extract from a paper on advances in prospecting for uranium, attention is drawn to the importance of understanding the decay series of uranium and thorium and the appreciation of the fact that radioactive parent and daughters can be separated in nature by ordinary geological processes. This gives rise to spurious radiometric anomalies which need not necessarily be a measure of the true uranium content of the rock
