Description

On September 13, 2020, a flight of the KVUI stratospheric balloon took place. It was in order to collect dust particles with a size of 102 μm. collected during the IAC I. mission, which have morphological properties corresponding to micrometeorites. Their characterization by secondary ion mass spectrometry and energy dispersive spectroscopy makes it possible to determine their chemical composition, estimate their mineral composition and definitively determine whether it is a material of extraterrestrial or terrestrial origin. If the particles are identified by micrometeorites, they can be classified using existing tables. (authors)
