Study of the shape of energy distributions of fission fragments

Description
Mass-energy distributions of fragments of almost one-modal symmetric fission of the 210Po nucleus in the reaction 209Bi(p, f) have been measured with high statistical accuracy for 30-MeV protons. A positive, increasing with the fission asymmetry excess of the energy distributions of fragments have been found. The asymmetry factor of the energy distributions is found to be close to zero; the excess is positive and grows with the asymmetry of separation of masses
