Dragon High Temperature Gas Cooled Reactor Dynamic Response Measurements, April, 1969 and Optimum Parameter Fitting

Description

Dynamic experiments were performed on Charge III, Core IV of the Dragon Reactor at 20MW. Both terminated ramp and pseudorandom binary chain code perturbations were applied to a control rod and neutron flux and fuel thermocouple signals recorded and analysed. Least squares fitting of parameters was carried out and an estimate of the power to reactivity coefficient and reactivity feedback time constant made. Comparison with results obtained previously indicated that there was little change in these parameters. (author)
