Description

This White Paper on gas network maintenance first proposes an overview of the different maintenance types: definition of the failure, synthesis of maintenance types, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance (systematic of conditional), examples of maintenance types. It discusses the choice of a maintenance type: choice criteria, benefits of conditional maintenance. It discusses the development of conditional maintenance: operation of a conditional maintenance solution, data collection and transmission, data storage and analysis, software solutions. It presents examples of usage cases and commonly monitored parameters: vibrations, acoustics, efficiency, performance and consumptions, physical-chemical analyses, visual inspections and surface conditions, other usage cases. It discusses how to design a solution of conditional maintenance: equipment selection and failures to be monitored, methodology (choice of parameters to be monitored, monitoring method, thresholds and alarm behaviour, prescriptions of what is to be done, to drive change), and implementation of predictive algorithms (design, implementation and maintenance of these algorithms). It describes how to manage a project of conditional maintenance (project team, project structure and sequencing). Organisational aspects are finally addressed
