Relativistic formulas for multipole-transition probabilities
Creators
Description
Electromagnetic multipole transitions are discussed in the framework of quantum electrodynamics. Gauge invariance of the transition is discussed, with emphasis on its relation to the nonrelativistic length and velocity form calculations. Relativistic forms of the multipole transition matrix elements are reduced to radial integrals convenient for computation. 2 references
