Feasibility study for Monte Carlo method and its application on HFETR γ-heat calculation

Description
In this paper the Monte Carlo Method is used to calculate the γ-heat of the HFETR core. Comparison of MCNP and experimental results of γ-heat in the core of HFETR is made. The Comparison shows that it is feasible to use MCNP to calculate the γ-heat of HFETR with satisfied precise. MCNP can be used for calculation of γ-heat in any location of the HFETR core. (authors)
