Electrons and photons detection using PIN-photodiodes, uncoupled or coupled to scintillators, in keV region

Description
X-and low energy gamma ray spectra of radioactive sources (241 Am, 109 Cd, 133 Ba, 152 Eu) have been measured using a bare photodiode. These measurements will be extended to continuous spectra emitted by medical diagnostic X-ray tubes. Photodiode coupled to plastic scintillators for electron detection are under study.
