Fast-neutron production (pn approx-gt 1 GeV/c) in pp and p12C interactions at p=4.2 and 10 GeV/c

Description
We have obtained data on the characteristics of the production of fast neutrons (pn approx-gt 1 GeV/c) and secondary charged particles in pp and p12C interactions at 4.2 and 10 GeV/c. Data on pp and p12C interactions are compared with the results of calculations in the Lund model and in the Dubna version of the cascade model, respectively. The experimental material has been obtained with the two-meter propane (C3H8) bubble chamber irradiated by protons at the synchrophasotron of the High Energy Laboratory at the JINR
