Pulse-amplitude discriminator and 200-MHz scale

  • 1. Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Grenoble (France)

Description

The paper describes a device consisting of a pulse-amplitude discriminator and a scale of 8, with a resolving time of 5 ns. The threshold, adjustable from 1 to 11 V, is defined for positive input pulses by means of a cathode-coupled threshold amplifier, using high figure of merit tubes and conveniently compensated for fast pulses. The two first flip-flops are of the slave type, and each one is composed of a bi-stable circuit associated with a driving switch circuit. Some amplifying and shaping circuits are introduced between the different stages. (author)

Abstract (French)

(author)

Abstract (Spanish)

(author)

Abstract (Russian)

V annotatsii opisyvaetsya ustrojstvo, sostoyashchee iz amplitudnogo diskriminatora, prisoedinennogo k vos'mikratnoj pereschetnoj skheme i obladayushchee razreshayushchim vremenem 5 nanosekund. Porog, reguliruemyj ot 1 do 11 vol't, opredelyaetsya dlya polozhitel'nykh vkhodnykh impul'sov, nachinaya so strobirovannogo usilitelya so svyazannymi katodami, ispol'zuyushchego lampy s khoroshim koehffitsientom opredeleniya i pravil'no kompensiruyushchegosya dlya bystrykh signalov. Dve pervye oprokidyvayushchiesya skhemy yavlyayutsya ''upravlyaemymi''; prichem kazhdaya iz nikh sostoit iz skhemy s dvumya ustojchivymi polozheniyami, svyazannoj s tsep'yu upravleniya. Razlichnye svyazi obespechivayutsya za schet kaskadov formirovaniya i usileniya. (author)
