Reflections on international and European legal framework for third party nuclear liability

  • 1. Faculty of Law, Trnava University, Trnava (Slovakia)

Description

The paper deals with the current international and supranational nuclear liability framework, analysing the basic principles which had become binding rules for the contracting parties (states) over the past half-century and commitments arising from the international nuclear liability conventions. Furthermore, the paper points out major challenges for the future development in this field, in particular taking the normative activity and other forms of EU actions into account. (orig.)
