Solutions of rare earth diiodides in tetrahydrofUran
Description
Some physico-chemical properties of bivalent Nd, Sm, Eu, dy, Tm and Yb in tetrahydrofuran arestudied. Eu2+, Yb2+ and Sm2+ solutions are stable in this solvent. The oxidation reaction rate constants are determined for Tm2+, Dy2+ and Nd2+. A number of Ln2+ energy parameters is determined including crystal field splitting parameter, from absorption spectra of bivalent lanthanides (Ln2+) and some regularities in their variations are considered
