Description
Understanding the mechanism of electron emission from ferroelectrics is in deed crucial for the application of ferroelectric cathodes. We appreciated the comments of Dorfman et al. on our recent article [J. Appl. Phys. 85, 6055 (1998)]. We believe the original proposed model is consistent and reasonable, i.e., the coexistence of ferroelectric and plasma emission from the same sample. copyright 1999 American Institute of Physics
