Experimental study of the parameters of films for general X-ray study

The methods for determining technical characteristics of films, choice of criteria for selecting films for application in the national medicinal practice and determination of their specific use with national intensifying screens are presented. It is shown, that the methods for determining the sensitometric parameters of the X-ray films are principally divided into two classes, differing by the applied film illumination source (the light or the X-ray one). The sensitometric parameters of the national and foreign films as well as the parameters of the national intensifying screens are presented. The type of the intensifying screens applied should be accounted for in the first place by films selection. It is important to select the optimal roentgenographic set for each roentgenological study. The competent selection of the intensifying screens and films, as well as the optimal mode of their treatment is the guarantee of obtaining qualitative roentgenograms
