On some phases of systems Ln2O3 - Sb2O3 (Ln = rare earths and yttrium)

Description
A study was made on the interaction of Sb3 oxides and rare earth elements during heating up to 600-650 deg C and at 10-2 mm Hg pressure. The existence of compounds with Ln3Sb5O12 stoichiometry for the whole Zn series, including Y, and ZnSbO3 for La, Pr, Nd was established. The behaviour of these phases during heating in the air was studied. Results of computer calculations and indication of X-ray photographs of Ho3Sb5O12 powder, crystallographic constants of Ln3Sb5O12 compounds are presented. Lattice parameters are determined
