On use of the automatization system for alignment of multisupport resonators in heavy particle linear accelerators

Description

System of adjustment automation is described on a long section of the linear heavy-particle accelerator, including a computer as 'adviser'. A principle of linearization of couplings between the support displacement and sagging in the support span has been found as applicable by mathematical simulation and breadboarding. Algorithm of defermination of coupling coefficients and optimal support displacement has been checked. The minimum permissible number of supports of the long resonator and maximum tolerance for its initial nonrectilinear configuration accounted for by uneven weld joint shrinkage have also been found
