Description
A phenomenological model of vortex dynamics is presented in which the vortex is taken as a composite object with two components: the vortex current pattern, which is massless and driven by the Lorentz force, and the vortex core, which is massive and driven by the Magnus force. By combining the characteristics of the Gittleman-Rosenblum model [Phys. Rev. Lett. 16, 734 (1996)] and Hsu's theory of vortex dynamics [Physica C 213, 305 (1993)], the model provides a good description of the magnetoconductivity tensor of superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-δ films measured over the frequency range from the microwave to 200 cm-1. copyright 1997 The American Physical Society
