On nature of hard alloys strengthening after oxidation and vibration treatments
Description
A study is made of the physical causes of increased strenght in hard alloys following oxidation and vibration treatment. It is demonstrated that hardening of the alloys involves breaking up of the mosaic blocks, occurrence of residual compressive stress and change in the phase composition of the cobalt solid solution.
