Chemical composition and uranium content in porous solutions of water permeable rocks of sedimentary cover

Description

Porous solutions of cretaceous and palaeogene sedimentary rocks in the frames of coarse dispersed structure are studied. The solutions have been pressed out just after lifting the core of sandy-argillaceous rocks, at pressures from 50 to 450 kg/cm2 and analyzed for the main components of mineralization and uranium. The composition of the porous solutions in rocks not alternated by epigenesis is stated to be determined by lithology-facial features of the rocks. Changes in rocks by laminated oxidizing epigenesis results in levelling the initial differences in the composition of solutions. Uranium content in porous solutions of non-alternated primary-grey coloured rocks can exceed the values obtained in tests of hydrogeological wells by 1-2 orders. This should be considered in analysis of the mechanisms of epigenetic ore formation in rocks of sedimentary cover
