Synthesis of new chelating agents, polycarboxymethylimino acetamide and their effectiveness for removing incorporated Ce-141 from body

Description

The synthesis of 8 new chelating agents of polycarboxymethylimino acetamide and their effectiveness for removing incorporated Ce-141 from body were reported. The experiments in rats showed that, with 3 of these chelating agents, 40-50% of the amount of injected Ce-141 can be removed in urine and feces for first 3 days after injection. This amount was seven to ten times as much as that for the control group, and that for these 3 chelating agengts, the retention of Ce-141 in liver was reduced markedly and was one to six times less than that for the control group
