Radioimmunological determination of the level of luteinizing hormone in the serum in the case of various gonadal disturbances and other endocrine diseases
Description
The purpose of this work was to determine radioimmunologically the level of luteinizing hormone (LH) in the serum in the case of various gonadal disturbances and other endocrine diseases with the aid of the double antibody method, and to compare the results within different diagnosis groups to each other and to compare these results with those found in the published literature. It was tested whether and with which accuracy the radioimmunological determination of LH in the serum can contribute to the diagnosis of pituitary gonad diseases and whether in the case of endocrine diseases the accompanying disturbances of the gonadotropin secretion which primarily do not affect the hypothalamo - hypophyso - gonadal circuit are demonstrable. The study results for the diagnosis groups primary and secondary hypogonadism of various genesis, gynacomastia, impotentia coeundi, primary and secondary ovarial insufficiency, hirsutism and adiposity were presented and discussed. Aufgabe der Arbeit war es, das luteinisierende Hormon (LH) im Serum bei unterschiedlichen gonadalen Stoerungen und anderen endokrinen Krankheitsbildern radioimmunologisch mit Hilfe der Doppelantikoerpermethode zu bestimmen, die Ergebnisse innerhalb der verschiedenen Diagnosegruppen miteinander zu vergleichen und die Beobachtungen den in der Literatur veroeffentlichten Ergebnissen gegenueberzustellen. Es wurde geprueft, ob und mit welcher Treffsicherheit die radioimmunologische Bestimmung von LH im Serum zur Diagnostik hypophysaerer und gonadaler Erkrankungen beitragen kann und ob bei endokrinen Krankheitsbildern, die primaer nicht den hypothalamo-hypophyso-gonadalen Funktionskreis betreffen, begleitende Stoerungen der gonadotropinen Sekretion nachweisbar sind. Die Untersuchungsergebnisse fuer die Diagnosegruppen Primaerer und Sekundaerer Hypogonadismus unterschiedlicher Genese, Gynaekomastie, Impotentia coeundi, Primaere und Sekundaere Ovarialinsuffizienz, Hirsutismus und Adipositas werden vorgestellt und diskutiert.
