Description
Direct electrical heating methods to determine thermal conductivity avoid the uncertainty of specific heat data, have an accuracy of +- 3 to 4 percent at 25000K and are an alternative for diffusivity measurements at high temperature. Their use is limited to electrically conducting materials. For some pure metals or polycrystalline graphite, low-temperature data can be extrapolated to higher temperature
