Large-scale shell-model calculation of fp-shell nuclei
Description
Computer programs have been developed for large-scale shell-model calculations of fp-shell nuclei, in a shell-model basis of definite isospin and angular momentum, and using Davidson method for solving eigenvalue equations. The former enables us to deal with Hamiltonian matrices of small dimensions, compared to the m-scheme basis which has commonly been used, and the latter is quite an efficient method of the diagonalization of a huge matrix.
