Numerical simulation of the dynamics of cylindrical dust grains in an external electric field

Description

Numerical simulation of the dynamics of charged cylindrical macroparticles confined in an external electric field is carried out. The orientation of two identical cylindrical grains in the field of the trap is considered. The conditions for the onset of a new layer in an extended quasi-two-dimensional system of such grains are analyzed.
