Effect of nucleon emission on kinematic characteristics of nuclear fragments of fission by 1 GeV protons

Description
A two-arm time-of-flight spectrometer was used to study kinematical correlations of complementary fragments from 1-GeV-proton induced fission of the 238U, 232Th, 197Au, and 184W traget nuclei. During the measurements, the arms of the spectrometer were collinear to each other and orthogonal to the proton beam. The influence of nucleon emission on energy, mass, and momentum distributions of fragments is discussed
