On the temperature of ductile-brittle transition for polycrystalline iron with cellular and subgranular type substructures
- 1. AN SSSR, Sverdlovsk. Inst. Fiziki Metallov
Description
The effect of carbon content, grain size, temperature, deformation mode and degree on the threshold of cold brittleness of commercial iron has been studied. The extreme character of temperature dependence of ductile-brittle transition on deformation degree, realized at room temperature, is detected. Formation of disoriented cellular or subgrain structure corresponds to decrease in temperature of ductile-brittle transition
