On the validity of the Buckingham-Liu rule for water-dimer isotopomers AOB.OXY (A ≠ B; A, B, X, Y = 1H, 2D, 3T)
Description
Using 8 modifications of recently developed flexible water potentials, zeropoint energy differences between the isomeric water-dimer isotopomers differing in the hydrogen isotope involved in the hydrogen bond were evaluated. In all the 18 possible pairs, the species bound through the heavier isotope was always lower in the energy term. (author) 43 refs.; 3 tabs
