Determination of steroid hormone receptors in cases of mammary carcinoma

Description
At the biochemical laboratory of the Rotterdam Radiotherapeutic Institute the determination of steroid receptors in mamma tumor tissues is carried out according to the specifications prescribed by EORTC. The exact execution of the determination is described, the computation and analysis (by Scatchard plot) of the measured values and possible errors and their sources as well as the quality control (also international) are discussed.
