The description of collective M1 properties of even-odd nuclei
Description
The low lying states of even-odd nuclei are described within a schematic particle-core coupling model. The core is treated by the generalized coherent states model (GCSM), while the outer nucleon is moving in a spherical shell model orbit. The two subsystems interact through a quadrupole-quadrupole (QQ) force. The presence of the M1 state 1+ in the basis determines a triplet of collective M1 states (11/2, 13/2, 15/2) for the odd system. These states are explicitly studied for the case of 169Er.(authors)
