Collective investigation on movement of metallic nuclides in animal organs
Description
In order to arrange quantitative movement of metallic nuclides in the living body, the author made an experiment by using mice in which 109Cd, 203Hg, 65Zn, 75Se, and 51Cr were used as tracer. The results and the previously reported literatures were reviewed together, and appropriateness of compartment model in the living body was discussed. First, collective investigation was made on movement of various kinds of metallic nuclides in organs of the living body and a constant of metabolism speed of those nuclides. Then, arrangement was made as to many factors which influenced on movement of heavy metals in the living body - difference by sex, change with age, difference by age between retention rate of metals in the body and absorption from the intestinal tract, characteristics of metal movement according to the concentration (carrier effect), pregnancy and other physiological factors, and interaction between metals -, and conditions necessary for establishment of model were discussed.
