Studies on distribution and dosimetry of tritium water and tritium thymidine in the mother-fetus system of the rat
Description
The object of the dissertation was to compare the radiobiological efficiencies of 3H-TdR bound to DNA and HTO evenly distributed in the body liquid. The model chosen for this purpose was the model of continuous infusion in pregnant rats developed by Fliedner et al. According to earlier investigations (Haas and Fliedner, 1970), the reduction of the oocyte number in the ovaries of rat fetuses was a particularly sensitive and easily measurable parameter. (orig.)

Es war das Ziel dieser Arbeit, die radiobiologische Wirksamkeit von an DNA gebundenen 3H-TdR mit dem gleichmaessig im Koerperwasser verteilten HTO zu vergleichen. Hierfuer wurde das von FLIEDNER et al. entwickelte Modell der kontinuierlichen Infusion bei schwangeren Ratten gewaehlt. Als ein besonders empfindlicher und gut messbarer Parameter fuer die radiobiologische Wirksamkeit hatte sich in frueheren Untersuchungen (HAAS und FLIEDNER, 1970) die Reduktion der Oozytenzahl in den Ovarien der Rattenfeten ergeben.
