Description

If there is a discrepancy between radiological findings and clinical state after massive trauma of the thorax, nuclear medicine examination is useful as is shown by a case report. Mostly it is possible to clarify the nature of abnormal masses in the lung by perfusion scintigraphy of the lung or/and inhalation of radionuclides. The examinations should be performed to control the further development of intrapulmonal alterations. (author)
